Went to visit Marina Barrage with mum today, bro didn't want to come along. If everything in life must have its reasons, and must involve not wasting of time, then it's pretty much a bore, isn't it?I'm just happy to be out, so I never complain much if I get to go out.
Good thing they have free shuttle buses until today, coz going there abit ulu ah.
It isn't all that boring at the Barrage, but they didn't let you cross the bridge/dam, so kinda suay. And the grass park on level 3 can be really windy! It's a great view from there to the city, you can see Raffles Place, the big Flyer, and the IR under construction..
They have a visitor gallery, which has a model of the Barrage for you to mess with. And ecard sending services in the gallery, and touch-n-go image taking. (As pledges for going green, or for those people to fill up the whole tunnel with their face).
The two slopes up to the park has different ways of entering. One has a well-paved road, while the other makes you transverse slightly muddy grounds, or you walk on pebbles, then scale the side slopes over to it. Whereas for me, instead of scaling, I simply moved back, and ran up the slope, landing on the pavement over it.
Took a boat to Merlion Park at the end of the day to go home.
Sometimes I wonder if I double-posted any of the images. IF I did, sorry ah!
