Note to self before making additional stuffs to this post.

Watch:
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly,
Dr. Strangelove

and dl some ...stuffs.

Well, the maid now has left for Indonesia for the next 3 weeks, so now the family has do houseworks once again. No big problem.
Dad's drink shop is small, and the taking off shoes part should be abolished. Other than that, with more customers and maybe a wider selection of shakes, it looks set to do well.
But now, that means I no longer get to sleep as late as I can.. sian.
Haven't worked on my holiday works yet. I stare at my pile and just don't quite know to start from where..

No Hope by Mad Caddies is ok, but the singing part kinda ruined it all, haiz.

"The Zombie Survival Guide" and "World War Z" looks set to be a good read. Hopefully the library still stocks it by Saturday. Or wait till school reopen? Nah, maybe not.

I dug a big piece of earwax today!
I felt something rolling a bit in my ear, I thought it was water. But I don't remember swimming, and my last bath was yesterday, so I thought, "Why not dig?"

And lo and behold, a brown piece of earwax is found! Biggest since the first brown one in sec 1. Dad lost that sample though, so this time I'm keeping this one myself!

Here's holding the ants don't come.

Bro's ear is better, his earwax in oil form one, so long no dig, brown become black liao seh!

Vexille was ok, while the artwork may irk you at first, you warm up to it with its detail of movements and passable storyline. It suffers from the usual robotic doll feel sometimes.

At the point that I'm typing this out, I have a beetle on my middle finger, the result of trying to get it off my hair gently after it crash landed on it. Its hooked feet is good for grabbing, mind you. Been on my finger for an hour now, and nibbles on it once in a while. Gives a tingling feeling.

I can't even tell if my finger's feeling numb now, since its hooked feet keeps sending feelings of numbness, courtesy of the nerve system sending electrical feedback.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is nice show, it's just pure insanity, and pokes fun at our everyday lives.

I roughly browsed through the number of holiday homeworks we have, and I'm lost. Just what homework do we have? (Can anyone tell me?)

It would be nice to have a little, well... a little world of your own.

After all, one pays the price for going against the flow.
More diplomacy perhaps?
But you've been under a totalitarian rule.
Coz I made it that way.
Not changing it?
Not in my behaviour. More bending of the rules.
You'll pay.
You got alternatives?
Not that I know of, or rather, you. Discuss with your Others and come up with a more cohesive decision. The computer inhibits your cranial process.
Hmm. Fine. But I think the result's already known.

Thursday 20 November 2008

Mum went to donate blood at the local CC few days ago. You have to be 16 to start donating, so I can't donate, too bad. Even then, you still need parental consent. 18 then you can go yourself. Something about the child still developing. There was quite some people there donating, thought there would be no one. Should ask CC organise more of this ar, then more people will donate blood right.
Since she's donating, I ended up spending my time exploring the stage of the CC and it's surrounding areas. So I played around with the machinery at the backstage, raising curtains and opening/closing them. I thought of playing with the power box with all the pretty colourful buttons, but thought better of it.

Bro got 259 for psle results. lol, beats my 236. But his's lousy to rmb. 2*3=6, so easy. So now looks like both me and david same case: big bro go noob sch, young bro go better school.

Quantum Of Solace is ok, chock full on action, and less character development. Makes the show half-baked and messy action scenes on top of that. Still, a nice take on the James Bond franchise.

Monday 17 November 2008

Finally I don't have to go to school, ah, the bliss.
Though that means my holiday time is no different from those of primary school ones, meh.
Open house, aha, it's ok...
Slacked more as a usherer since I ain't doing anything much. And I don't like ushering. So spent alot of time slacking at 3s5's booth, lol. This time open house much better than previous ones, last time only display CCAs, lessons etc, this time still gt bazaar, can attract people. By afternoon I asked Xinyu to get me one packet of chicken rice for lunch, then help put for haunted house. Kanasai, make me and Khai Keat wait so long for him and others to be back.
Haunted House feels like a success, though we damaged the ceiling at the end of the day, but that one chicken feet matter lah. At first asked me scare people from behind a altar, but after 2 rounds, I feel that didn't quite work. So I found a doll with raffia string tied to its leg, then used it to hook people's legs.
We were the last stall to pack up, and by the time we left, the school caretakers had locked up the school, leaving us trapped! Lucky they were still around to unlock the grilles and gates, otherwise we stay till Monday liao..
We could jump off from the spiral staircase and scale the gates though.

Doing nothing nowadays, unless you count playing Pokemon: Diamond and assorted flash games. And the occasional LANs with Xinyu and Gabriel over Warcaft 3. Do homework tommorow? I dunno.. though I have to work on the tuition ones, zzz.

Wednesday 12 November 2008

Man, having sore arms now.
Bowled with songwei, gab, xinyu, yufei and kkk at Chevrons yesterday. Haha, I sucked like hell. Work on the ball some time? Hmm. Still, it's fun just rolling and gathering with friends, regardless of the 10-20 something score.
After 4 rounds, headed to arcade. Played Ghost Squad with Xinyu. Walao, crap one lah, iron sight alight liao, the system still detect as miss, kanasai. $3 also not enough to clear one level. Zzz.
Songwei and the others got badminton training, so I went off with gabriel and xinyu to Pioneer for lunch, then find Peng Peng to play LAN. Chased 99 at the bus-stop outside Chevrons. I managed to reach the stop first lor, but the freaking me just went past me, waste effort sia! Lucky behind still got one more. After lunch at mac, walked our way to Peng's house, then tried vaulting over one of this barrier. But missed my grab, so ended up more like hopping over it. Subsequently lost balance and fell. At least I had only dirtied my clothes and suffered minor cuts..
Peng Peng's modem and router cannot support 4 computers, so we went LAN to play warcraft 3. Got owned by insane A.Is. Ah. LAN nice meh, the guy I sit next to (or maybe his chair) stinks and reeks of BO, and the whole left side of the keyboard is so worn, I can't see the lettering. Dark place of LANs is also bad of eyesight. Why all LAN is dark dark one sia.
Blizzard and Valve good ar, dun have map, can just dl at game waiting room, now that's good service.

Today go school, see dead rat on road, with two crows feasting on it. Come back take bus, saw dead pigeon on side of tree, huddled in awkward position.
Farni sio, seeing more dead animals. OR am I noticing them more? Makes no difference.

So now I have Warcraft 3 and a new addition, CS 1.6 for playing. Not that I play much, only multiplayer with Xinyu and Gabriel. Only grouse is so far we is play in around late night one.

Monday 10 November 2008

Saw a man in red shirt wading in the river next to the MRT depot near Jurong East. He seems to be "gently struggling", with his hands in the air, and looks as if waving at the train. Not afraid of getting washed off?

I never liked the business zones of Singapore, the CBD, along with with its surrounding districts like Tanjong Pagar. Sucks to navigate about high rise structures, the way I see it, you can't see one end of the street from the other with them blocking the view. And with them sticking out like a monolith, it's really easy to get lost.
And so begins my evening on Saturday finding where's Maxwell Food Centre. Sure, I been there several times, but the constant "building, road, building road" scenario got my head a bit lost.
Ultimately, I found it, with a phone guide from mum. Least I used one of the exits from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station as a triangulation point. And a knack for heading back to that same point, without taking the same road.
So we had chicken rice set meal there, before heading off to the Singapore Conference Hall to watch a crosstalk.
Interesting that the Hokkien Huay Kuan had some exhibits regarding various aspects of our chinese culture
Sometimes the number of people my parents know scares and astounds me. Like, for example, you know the chnl 8 show, on AIDs 1 leh? Then got this poor uncle and auntie cared for by the voluntary worker. They know the uncle in real life, and we met him that day. Wow?
Father's right; this crosstalk from Taiwan was not as well as those we usually watch from China. But I don't know, first time watch one from Taiwan, so I'll cut them some slack.

Triplets Of Belleville was nice, with the old, retro feel of those old cartoon feel to it, impossible plot twists and references to American and French stereotypes throughout the film. Dialogue was kept minimal, but viewers should be able to grasp the main plotline, although, not being a French, I didn't get the ending, since the short dialogue was in french.
Facebook still remains a little confusing for me, oh well, till next time for that. Least I have something to settle requests.

Got the NDS Lite back after months of it being trapped in mum's office. But couldn't find the many games in one cartridge in it. Where the heck can it be? And where do people get their flash carts?

Monday 3 November 2008

Spent 30 mins undoing the knots to the long string of one of my pants. What's wrong with the long thing dangling in front? It's good for swinging.

Took me so long to realise that there's no Mel Gibson in Shift 3. Walao, took me so long to get the joke, ahhh I feel nuts.
Let's give this blog a gay feel!

Went to visit Marina Barrage with mum today, bro didn't want to come along. If everything in life must have its reasons, and must involve not wasting of time, then it's pretty much a bore, isn't it?
I'm just happy to be out, so I never complain much if I get to go out.
Good thing they have free shuttle buses until today, coz going there abit ulu ah.
It isn't all that boring at the Barrage, but they didn't let you cross the bridge/dam, so kinda suay. And the grass park on level 3 can be really windy! It's a great view from there to the city, you can see Raffles Place, the big Flyer, and the IR under construction..
They have a visitor gallery, which has a model of the Barrage for you to mess with. And ecard sending services in the gallery, and touch-n-go image taking. (As pledges for going green, or for those people to fill up the whole tunnel with their face).
The two slopes up to the park has different ways of entering. One has a well-paved road, while the other makes you transverse slightly muddy grounds, or you walk on pebbles, then scale the side slopes over to it. Whereas for me, instead of scaling, I simply moved back, and ran up the slope, landing on the pavement over it.
Took a boat to Merlion Park at the end of the day to go home.
Sometimes I wonder if I double-posted any of the images. IF I did, sorry ah!
