Watched a play called "The Cherry Orchard" yesterday. I must say I don't quite get it, just bits here and there. So a rich family is back from Paris to Russia. Their Cherry Orchard's laden with debts and thus about to be auctioned. The Orchard is special as it was where the family had once lived in when they were young, and so is their forefathers, great grandfather, etc.The old guards in the Orchard keep reminiscing about the past, the "peasant" in charge of the Orchards wants to tear it down to lease the grounds for villas to earn money, while the rich simply don't care that much, making merry all the time even during this point. Eventually, it's sold, the new owner the peasant. He now gets to do whatever he wants, and the rest now have to move elsewhere.
And to note, the scene is set during Gorbachev's major reform of the Russian politics, I think.
Mom got a new phone for herself, and a cheapo mp3 for FM playback. Now she needs a screen protector for her samsung preston. Oh ya, anyone of you got a spare stylus to give us? Maybe something like the one attached dangling to the Viewty.
Saw a uncle with his left little toe painted blue on the MRT. GLITTERY BLUE. But not his other toe leh. Funny sia. Think he got mistress outside?
And I fixed the speaker that my bro damaged! Simple reconnecting of wires, nothing much.
And I learnt the innards of a toilet bowl. So I guess I know some basic repairs of it?
My old mp3 is wonky now. It can shut down, switch from fm to music playback, lower/increase volume, play/pause, all by itself. Irritating sia. Time to switch liao ba, i guess.
