Never met a more sotong person than Johanna. Everytime I give her the benefit of doubt but it never really works out... Actually she isn't that sotong ah, just not always on the alert at the least. Blur would be appropriate. Other than that, she still high functioning. Child-like, but always keeping the mind running. Maybe that's why she's blur. Hmm.In the event of an XK-Class end of the world scenario, I hope she does die in the early hours. The survivors are not necessary kind to someone as kind as her...
I didn't get Black Swan. In the midst of madness, sex, drugs and perfection, what am I being told? I don't think being insane to be perfect is the message here...
Is the ballerina world that harsh when you are a perfection freak? Then again, everything's harsh when you are one I suppose.
Too bad China's quality of English shows imported isn't very good. Poor "The King's Speech". Horrible subtitles, for such an language-laden movie, is as good as a nono. Sure I could pick up what they are saying, though not easy all the time. Imagine the Chinese who are not that proficient in English watching it, chances are they need chinese subs after watching the first few seconds. Piracy is common in China, but surely a certain level of quality should be there. You would be lucky if the shows are straight American rips complete with some localised subtitles, but chances are there are those out in their market that's laden with amateurish command of the language. Urgh, and you expect the Chinese to improve their standards of English. Lessons one thing, but sometimes we forget how we can still learn through pop culture. Just don't expect that to go very far.
Dota dota dota, oh how you pain me. Hana hana I suck la, but I really don't have this urge to train up and be sum dota master like Ash Doucheum because when I see the hordes of dota players in LAN shops, I am a little intimidated because they look like a bunch of complete bastards who would spew cb knn fuck you every single round. And the rate they keeping right clicking and flying across the screen... Oh god.
Reason why I try to remind myself to be like our angmoh gamers instead, looking for good time, joke about, keep cool. Ya I know I'm a living irony, playing games other than dota.
Of course that does mean that however jios me to dota, chances are I either kena FIRST BLOOD or I just hang around whacking creeps, running from enemies like a sissy, get my health bashed up/don't know when to back/not looking at my battle screen/health/minibox/ staring at shop wondering what to waste my gold on
Odd dream today, dreaming I had a girlfriend, whose face I have never seen before, yet somehow I felt close to her. So I asked if she wanted to go to the movies or the rally (IDKY) and she said rally, stunning me. So I was like (woooow ok uh lets go) so we when to the PAP rally because it wasn't so crowded (lulz). And for some reason when we first reached the venue, there was a band playing while we first walked past, providing background music to the politician giving the speech ahead. Bit like walking into the Mos Eisley Cantina if you ask me. Even got food and drinks too! So we helped ourselves to that while watching him/her speak nonsense.
Weirdest dream so far, including the other flurry of dreams that I can't remember anymore after that.
Assassinating aliens and shooting humans in the head in Crysis 2 sure makes things look easy, especially with the all wonderous suit that recharges, always waiting for you to CLOAK ENGAGED. And even on the highest difficulty setting, our main character never seems to have an issue with ammunition! Lucky kid. Sometimes I do wonder if the game is designed to be easy at times, because other than the fact that the aliens have wayy tougher armour than the humans, there isn't much difference between the two. Of course going in guns blazing can still be stupid...
Still, beautiful levels and nicely designed battle arenas makes the game not too bad as it seems. You might miss the more openness of the first Crysis though. And Farcry.
Assassinating in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, now that's more of a kicker! Same old in Assassin's Creed 2, but this time more side missions to distract you whenever you don't want to rush the storyline. Not sure whether this makes Assassin's Creed one of few games that makes better sequels on hindsight... at the most you know Ubisoft would always have 1 last idea of just making a modern day AC should they really run of ideas.
As for Homefront... Oh god the singleplayer. Another one of those checkpoint only saves, and a really short singleplayer to boot. The whole thing about seeing the horrors of this invasion, its fallout and whatsnot also seems somewhat lacking, just not able to give me the emotional hit. Most of the time I'm just trying to kill off the enemies as the game brings me from one scenery or gorenry to another, so I go wow and move on. Quite disconnected, the whole vibe. But that's just one small problem. The singleplayer was amazingly short, with the whole game being only a few hours long. Quite shocking. Oh, and why are the North Korea troopers get thicker and thicker armour? Making your enemies seem like evil bastards is one thing, seeing faceless, armoured, almost robot troops does not show how mean they are, only that they are zombies. With guns and a thick armour that does nothing.
For two weeks I keep telling me to remember a list of stuffs to blog, only to forgot them sometime after the 2 weeks. Oh well least some content's up anyway. Heh sometimes I miss my funnies in this place. Or in me.
