Saw a man in red shirt wading in the river next to the MRT depot near Jurong East. He seems to be "gently struggling", with his hands in the air, and looks as if waving at the train. Not afraid of getting washed off?I never liked the business zones of Singapore, the CBD, along with with its surrounding districts like Tanjong Pagar. Sucks to navigate about high rise structures, the way I see it, you can't see one end of the street from the other with them blocking the view. And with them sticking out like a monolith, it's really easy to get lost.
And so begins my evening on Saturday finding where's Maxwell Food Centre. Sure, I been there several times, but the constant "building, road, building road" scenario got my head a bit lost.
Ultimately, I found it, with a phone guide from mum. Least I used one of the exits from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station as a triangulation point. And a knack for heading back to that same point, without taking the same road.
So we had chicken rice set meal there, before heading off to the Singapore Conference Hall to watch a crosstalk.
Interesting that the Hokkien Huay Kuan had some exhibits regarding various aspects of our chinese culture
Sometimes the number of people my parents know scares and astounds me. Like, for example, you know the chnl 8 show, on AIDs 1 leh? Then got this poor uncle and auntie cared for by the voluntary worker. They know the uncle in real life, and we met him that day. Wow?
Father's right; this crosstalk from Taiwan was not as well as those we usually watch from China. But I don't know, first time watch one from Taiwan, so I'll cut them some slack.
Triplets Of Belleville was nice, with the old, retro feel of those old cartoon feel to it, impossible plot twists and references to American and French stereotypes throughout the film. Dialogue was kept minimal, but viewers should be able to grasp the main plotline, although, not being a French, I didn't get the ending, since the short dialogue was in french.
Facebook still remains a little confusing for me, oh well, till next time for that. Least I have something to settle requests.
Got the NDS Lite back after months of it being trapped in mum's office. But couldn't find the many games in one cartridge in it. Where the heck can it be? And where do people get their flash carts?
