Movies I've watched recently: Harry Potter and Up.The Half Blood Prince this time round is not as good, compared to the other films. While in essence it has gotten the gist of the story, the director done it in such a manner that he sort of deviates from the original print material. While this is a common problem when adapting another medium to film format, it is a little too much. As one episode of the Simpsons goes, "Angelica leaves school, blah blah, new guide, *flips flips* learns new spell, and defeats Montymort. Yay!" All that from quick browsing in the car.
EDIT: Iluma's ok. But perhaps a little too much clothes shops, its like a mini bugis or something. And the Manhattan Fish Market, nice fish. Just got to pick another next time. Seabass dish with tiramisu and mudpie? Oh too darned full.
Up is good, mum's office gave early screening. While fast-paced, it has moments that touches you. Depending on how you see it, you would most probably get different impressions. Pixar is also getting better with its animation and level of detail. Got a nice shock when the credits revealed that Michael Giacchino.
Quotes of my own after watching Up: possible spoilers!
Regarding the old man: Do no take me as stubborn, I'm just strongly emotionally attached.
The little things in life are always worth remembering and to treasure. (Learnt this long ago, and still applying it.)
While they never got to Paradise Falls together, their time spent together was one of bliss.
EDIT: Saw someone that looks like Guinevere after that. Except that she's taller, and has a slighly longer face. Sideways view only, from front it looks different. Except maybe the eyes.
EDIT: 2 squirrels live across the ground next to my old primary school. Awesome. One of them has some rather big buckteeth there.
Messed with a red ant colony outside school today. They had used the sap of the leaf to make glue to stick several of them together, forming a small nest. Messed it up by poking it with a long stick picked up from the ground, and ending with a throwing a stone that zijian threw but barely hit. Funfunfun, just like primary school days...
Movies to watch next time: District 9, Bruno and Moon!
